Roanoke City Schools' Child Nutrition Program strives to keep meals well balanced and nutrient packed. In addition, the Surgeon General of the United States has issued a call to action to prevent and decrease obesity in our school age children. Many changes that have been implemented in our schools and in our Child Nutrition Program have been to support this effort. Please feel free to browse our links for Nutrition on the Web. These sites will provide guidelines that mandate how our Child Nutrition Program is managed, but also changes to snacks, school fundraiser sales and soft drink sales.
