Dear Parents,

I am so delighted to be part of the great tradition of education in Roanoke, Alabama. I can't believe this is my 2nd year as your principal of KES.

My door is always open to you as you are the most important part of your child's education. We must work together to create the best education for our children to make them viable, happy workers in the 21st century.

To that end, we will continue our focus on technology, reading, and math at KES this year. We have computers in the lab, computers in the classrooms, and computers on wheels that further students' understanding of reading and math. Today we have the technology to merge what we learn in school into what Malcolm Glaswell calls "a fascinating and provocative blueprint for making the most of human potential."

Continue to look on the website for updates in your child's classroom as well as activities at KES. I look forward to seeing you at KES soon!
